How Many Shingle Bundles per Roofing Square?
A roofing square is 100 square feet of roof coverage. The number of bundles per square depends on the installed coverage of the chosen product, so read the product data before ordering.

Bundles = round up(roof area with allowance ÷ installed coverage per bundle). A nominal three-bundle product corresponds to approximately 33⅓ ft² per bundle, but other products have different packaging.

Separate field shingles from accessories
Ridge caps and starter strips can use different packaging and coverage units, such as linear feet. Underlayment, flashing, and other materials are separate lines. Add an explicit layout allowance to field area before rounding bundles; do not silently add the same allowance again at checkout.
